Published Monday 15 June 2026. Norbury passengers using the 250 and N250 should check live bus status this week after Transport for London listed a diversion near Thornton Heath running until 8pm on Wednesday 17 June.
TfL’s route status page says Parchmore Road, CR7 is affecting routes 250 and N250 in both directions because of a burst water main.
Stops and roads TfL says are affected
The TfL alert says buses are diverted via Melfort Road, Norbury Crescent and London Road.
It says buses are missing stops from Thornton Heath Station “D” to Hermitage Lane “M” towards Brixton, and from Hermitage Lane “P” to Thornton Heath Station “C” towards West Croydon.
Why this matters locally
The 250 is a regular link for journeys between Brixton, Streatham, Norbury, Thornton Heath and West Croydon. The N250 also matters for late-night and early-morning travel on the corridor.
Passengers heading between Norbury and Thornton Heath should check the live TfL listing shortly before setting off, allow extra time, and confirm which nearby stops are being served. Live travel information can change at short notice.
Useful links
This is a follow-up practical travel notice based on TfL’s live public status listing. The Gazette previously reported the same Parchmore Road diversion when it was listed for the earlier weekend; TfL’s current listing now gives a Wednesday evening end time.
