Norbury residents travelling into Croydon this month should check their onward tram plans before setting off, after Transport for London listed a planned part closure on London Trams.
TfL’s tram status page says there is no service between Reeves Corner and East Croydon from Thursday 6 until Sunday 30 August. It also says additional works apply on Sunday 16 and Thursday 20 August.
The closure is relevant for Norbury passengers who use rail or bus links into Croydon and then continue by tram towards stops such as Wimbledon, Beckenham Junction, Elmers End or New Addington.
What to check before travelling
- Check TfL’s live Tram route and status page before leaving, as status information can change.
- Use the TfL journey planner for the latest suggested route, especially if changing at East Croydon, West Croydon or stops in Croydon town centre.
- Allow extra time if your trip depends on a tram connection through central Croydon.
- For wider route context, TfL lists regular tram route sections including Wimbledon to Beckenham Junction, Wimbledon to Elmers End, and Church Street to New Addington.
The Gazette has not independently observed the works. This article is based on TfL’s public status and route information checked on 10 August 2026.
