Norbury residents dealing with dumped rubbish, graffiti or a missed bin collection can save time by using the correct Croydon Council reporting route for each problem.

The council’s official pages separate one-off street problems, collection problems and bulky waste bookings, so the most useful first step is to identify what has happened and where it is.

Fly-tipping and dumped rubbish

Croydon Council says fly-tipping can be reported through the Love Clean Streets app or website. The council also lists its environmental team number as 020 8726 6200.

Residents should not touch dumped waste. The council advises people who witness fly-tipping to note details such as the location, date and time, what was tipped, and any vehicle details, if it is safe to do so.

The official council page is here: Croydon Council fly-tipping information.

Graffiti and other street issues

Graffiti can also be reported online through Croydon’s Love Clean Streets route. Croydon’s service page says residents should choose the correct graffiti category and upload a photo.

The wider Love Clean Streets page also lists other street issues that can be reported, including litter, potholes and damaged or missing kerbs.

Missed rubbish collections

If a whole street has not been collected, Croydon Council advises residents to leave waste and recycling out and not to report an individual missed collection. If other properties on the street have been collected, residents can report a missed bin collection online.

The council says missed rubbish collections, or other collection problems, must be reported within two working days, starting at 10pm on the scheduled collection day.

The official page is here: Report a rubbish collection problem.

Bulky household items

Large household items should not be left on the street. Croydon Council runs a paid bulky waste collection service, and its current service page says the collection service operates all year round.

Quick checklist for Norbury residents

  • Dumped rubbish on public land: report it through Love Clean Streets or Croydon’s fly-tipping page.
  • Graffiti: use the graffiti category and add a photo where possible.
  • Your bin was missed but neighbours were collected: report the missed collection within the council’s time limit.
  • The whole street was missed: leave bins out and follow Croydon Council’s current collection advice.
  • Old furniture or large items: book a bulky waste collection or use an authorised disposal route.

For any council web page, residents should check the latest wording before acting, as reporting forms, charges and service advice can change.
