Published Saturday 6 June 2026. Norbury passengers using the 250 and N250 should check live bus status this weekend after Transport for London listed a diversion near Thornton Heath.

TfL’s bus status page says Parchmore Road, CR7 is affecting routes 250 and N250 in both directions until 8pm on Sunday 8 June, due to a burst water main.

What TfL says is affected

The alert says buses are diverted via Melfort Road, Norbury Crescent and London Road.

It also says buses are missing stops from Thornton Heath Station “D” to Hermitage Lane “M” towards Brixton, and from Hermitage Lane “P” to Thornton Heath Station “C” towards West Croydon.

Why it matters for Norbury

The 250 is a useful route for many local journeys between Brixton, Streatham, Norbury, Thornton Heath and West Croydon. A short diversion can still affect passengers making connections, travelling to Thornton Heath station, or heading between Norbury and Croydon.

Residents should check the live TfL page before setting off, allow extra time, and use nearby stops only after confirming they are being served.
